Help Veterans Recover and Restore Resilience
Give our veterans returning home a chance to recover and get back to living a normal life!
When veterans are given the difficult task of returning back to civilian life after deployment, many suffer from various mental health issues. According to the United States Veterans Administration, common symptoms include Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, depression, anxiety, anger, flashbacks, and an inability to feel happy. It is easy to understand that service members symptoms can lead to major disruption with family, friends, work, and the ability to live a fulfilling life.
The Veterans Restorative Project (VRP) is dedicated to helping returning veterans adjust to civilian life after returning home. Their primary objective is to implement the use of Integrative Restoration(iRest) meditation for these needs and challenges. iRest is a research-based transformative practice of deep relaxation and meditation. This guided meditation has been proven to help alleviate the complicated wounds many veterans experience. VRP provides free classes in multiple settings to allow as many veterans to participate as possible.
